Tigers

Introduction:
Did you know that tigers are going extinct? According to Tigers in Crisis all wild tigers will be extinct within the next 10 years.  A tiger is an animal which lives in the jungles of Africa and Asia. It is a member of the large cat family, Panthera tigris. There are six main species of tigers still alive; Bengal, Sumatran, Siberian, Malayan, Indochinese and South China.

Appearance:
Tigers are a distinctive orange with black stripes each type of tiger has a unique stripe pattern tigers have four legs and long tails they have 30 adult teeth including the two teeth at the front that look like fangs.

Habitat:
Tigers live in rainforests, grasslands, savannahs and even mangrove swamps because their stripes enable them to blend in and camouflage.
Tiger habitat is at risk of being destroyed to make room for farms and town.

Diet:
Tigers mainly eat ambar deer, wild pigs, water buffalo and antelope. Tigers are also known to hunt sloth bears, dogs, leopards, crocodiles and pythons as well as monkeys and hares. Old and injured tigers have been known to attack humans.

Predators:
Tigers population is decreasing by a lot because farmers destroy tigers homes and then the tigers come into the farms and eat all the live stock and then the farmers shoot the tigers so they can make money from their live stock.

Life cycle:
The life cycle of a tiger is not very complicated. The mother tiger only gives birth to 2 or 3 cubs. When the tiger is newly born it depends on its mother entirely. It counts on the mother tiger to give it food and water.

Other interesting facts:

Tigers usually hunt alone at night time. Tigers have been known to reach speeds up to 65 kph (40 mph). Less than 10% of hunts end successfully for tigers Tigers can easily jump over 5 metres in length. Various tiger subspecies are the national animals of Bangladesh, India, North Korea, South Korea and Malaysia. There are more tigers held privately as pets than there are in the wild. Tigers that breed with lions give birth to hybrids known as tigons and ligers.

Dream writing

Have you ever wondered about the dream you just had and why you had it? Well I will tell you that and much more, you may not think about but will want to know.

Dreams are very interesting because they sometimes can help you deal with emotions and memories. But when you have nightmares means that you must have some type of thinking to do and lots of stress about it or anything.

And you also might think that your dreams last a long time but really a dream only takes a few seconds or up to 20-30 minutes. now you're probably thinking well how many dreams do i have a night. the average person has about 3 to five dreams a night but for some it can be up to seven but if you're lucky you will only remember 1 or 2.

If anyone says that dreams can predict the future then they're making it up because your dreams do not predict the future but sometimes your dreams may give a little hint on what might happen but don't worry if it seems ridiculous because it doesn't happen that often.

Sea safety

Wednesday 8th may 2019

Purpose: to inform
Audience: hiwi the kiwi and the minstrels
Plan: on paper

Have you ever had a fatal incident at sea? Or even just a little one like accidentally throwing rubbish into the sea you may be thinking it's not that bad to throw rubbish into the sea but really each year 100 million sea life marines die each year from plastic.

Speaking about how careful you have to be out at sea Have you ever fallen out of a boat in a lake or a sea and you had to swim out of it? Well were you wearing a life jacket? if you weren't you’re not the only one your apart of the 84 percent of people that didn't and that means that you have a higher percent of the tide taking you far away out to sea.

Since i'm on a roll with being careful and safe have you ever heard of fishing for the future it's about being careful with fishing and taking rulers to measure your fish and if you catch a snapper that's under 30cm take it back to the sea because its a baby and if it's over 30cm then you have to put it back because it might be a mother.

Fration flower

This is my fraction flower because for one of my math task we had
to make one so i did a flower
Create a picture using the colours you have chosen.

There are 100 squares

Write the fraction and percentage for each colour you have used.

For example:
10 out of 100 are RED
so the fraction is 10/100
The percentage would be 10%

WRITE YOURS HERE:
5 out of 100 are GREEN
So the fraction is 5/100
The fraction would be 5%

20 out of 100 are BLUE
So the fraction is 20/100
The fraction would be 20%
5 out of 100 are yellow
So the fraction is 5/100
The fraction would be 5%

calm explanation

Calm explanation

This is how to be calm when you are mad. First is how to recognise what being upset feels like, what to do in KitKat, how to think of your happy place and how to know when you are calm.

I'm going to be showing you how to be calm and not hurt anyone when your mad. You know when you are mad when you go red or breathe heavily. You need to walk away from what makes you mad.

First you go to a corner or just a place where you can be alone and take deep breaths. Then close your eyes and think about something that makes you happy.

My happy place is being around animals. Just breathe and stay at your happy place for as long as it takes to calm down and relax and once your done just go back to whatever you were doing and remember to stay calm.

You know you are calm when your face turns back to a normal colour and your breathing goes normal and you calm down

That is how you become calm.
